This couple is really sweet and they wanted to order a reception book with their engagement pictures. The reception book is a 10x10 hard back book that is custom designed. It takes the place of a regular guest book that your wedding guest sign. The reception book also has pages that ask for date night suggestions, etc. all filled with your engagement pictures. I'll share pictures of this book once their wedding is complete! It's a wedding must have!! And, something you'll actually look at again!

Holiday Cards 2010

So, first of all, I apologize for being such a slacker about blogging! I have so many sessions to add, but wanted to get the holiday card info out first! Email me at sam@samsstudio.net to setup a session.

It's best to get your sessions done by the first of November, to give yourself time to choose your photo and to give the printers plenty of time to get them back before December 1st. It's also a good idea to get any orders in by November 15th if you are ordering any Christmas presents! I can't believe I am blogging about Christmas already! But, it's only a little over 3 months away!! aaahhh!!!

The cards are available in packs of 25, printed on a linen stock and are front & back cards.

Holiday card prices:
under 100 cards are $1.25 each plus tax
over 100 cards are $1 each plus tax

When your session is completed, you will view samples of your pictures in the cards including the back of the card with wording.

Newborn Baby Kaylee

Kaylee was the one that wanted to come into the world a little early (see her mom and dad's maternity shoot below), and her mom held her off until she was 36 weeks! We did her newborn shoot when she was 4 weeks old and she was close to the weight of my baby at birth! Sweet little baby Kaylee did a great job and finally went to sleep so her mom could get the "Gumball" picture she really wanted!

Welcome Tate!

Here are Tate's newborn pictures taken in his sweet, sweet nursery...loved it! He was wide awake, but still did a great job! I like newborns to be asleep so I can move them around without making them mad, but I understand, they make all of the rules!

Thank you Tate for being a good little model and not getting too mad at me! And, if that happens, don't worry, that's part of the fun. Usually makes a good picture too!

Grow with Me Session

Here are Hazel Grace's pictures from her second session of the Grow with Me program. She is expecting a little brother in June so we also did some maternity pictures with mom! This little girl is such a sweetheart and can't wait to meet her baby brother!

The Grow with Me program is the next step after the Baby Club. It captures your little one before school and includes 4 sessions at 1 year old, 2, 3 and 4 years old. The parent receives a framed panel print with a picture from each session after the fourth session has been completed. Nikki and Dustin are Expecting!

This maternity photo shoot was done on an old bridge in Kentucky. It's so spooky to drive over...one lane, wooden, makes lots of noises and too high off the ground for me! I am terrified of heights so I was a little scared to be walking on it and stayed far from the edge! It didn't help my nerves that a guy was actually sitting on the edge...aaaahhh! Anyway, back to the shoot...it made a gorgeous backdrop!

Nikki had gone into early labor the week prior, so I didn't know if we were going to get this session done before little Kaylee arrived, but was so glad we did! Nikki was such a good sport...she didn't hesitate when I asked her to lay down on the bridge.

Miah's Baby Club Session

Here are Miah's pictures from her second photo shoot at 3 months old! She had grown so much from her newborn shoot...she is just a couple months older than my baby, so it was fun to see what she was already doing! And, was loving her big blue eyes!!!

Sam's Studio's Baby Club includes 4 sessions (newborn, 3 months, 6 months and 9 months)! It's a GIRL!

Okay, this is a little late, but hey, I'm a new mom! I'm going to have to use that excuse for as long as I can!! Anyway, It's a GIRL! Our Ava Claire was born February 5th at 4:33 a.m. A big girl at 8 lbs, 6 oz., 19.5 inches long! She is perfect! Here are a few pictures from one of her many photo shoots so far...;0)

37 weeks and counting

I am currently 37 weeks pregnant and counting!! We can't wait for our little girl to get here, and I have a feeling she is going to stay as long as she can...which is just fine as long as she is good and healthy. But, I would love it, if she would quit kicking me! ;0)

I will be taking a short maternity leave when she arrives and then only available on weekends after that for a while. And, I will post the exact dates as soon as she gets here.

Baby Miah

Here is baby Miah, new daughter of Nancy & Jeremiah (see their maternity pictures below). Miah was only 19 days old and so little. Our goal for newborn shoots is for them to be asleep, but Miah was not wanting to miss anything and was wide awake the whole time. Of course, we still got good pictures! She was such a good little model!

Teen Photo Session

Oktoberfest 2009, Lebanon TN

We setup a booth at Wilson Bank & Trust's Oktoberfest in Lebanon, TN, this past Saturday and Sunday. Everyone that visited our booth could have signed up for a FREE session with Sam's Studio and we had over 80 people sign up! The winner will be chosen and notified within the next few days.

On Saturday, the temperature did not get up to 50 degrees! So, it was cold, cloudy and a little rainy that morning. I would like to thank my husband, Keith, my cousin-in-law, Cole, my mom, Vicki and my dad, Kent! I could not have done it without them! Of course, they got to play a little too...see the pics below of my Keith and Kent!

It was my husband and I's 1 year anniversary Sunday! And, yes we had to work, but it was a much warmer day! Happy Anniversary Keith! This was what was waiting for me when I woke up...

5 day old Baby Girl

Introducing Baby Veronica! She was only 5 days old and this was our first newborn shoot. Again, the newborn shoots were a collaboration with my mom (my parents are photographers). We were both needing practice so we had 2 newborns model for us!

If you are expecting a baby, sign up for our Baby Club! The Baby Club is only $50 and includes 4 sessions (newborns within two weeks old, 3 months, 6 months and 9 months)! After all sessions have been completed, client will receive a framed 5x30 portrait with 1 image from each session. We understand that 4 sessions within 9 months is a lot, so there is no minimum order for each session...so order as much or as little as you want!

I want to thank Veronica's mom for letting us use her as a model!

12 day old Baby Girl

I had two shoots last Friday of 2 newborns. My parents are photographers and my mom and I collaborated to do these sessions. This was our second shoot for the day and our second newborn shoot ever! My baby club now offers 4 sessions within the first year including newborn (within 2 weeks of birth), 3 months, 6 months and 9 months. Because of the update, we had to practice on the newborn sessions and I want to thank Kylie's mom and dad for allowing us to use Kylie as one of our models for the day.

Kylie is only 12 days old! We want newborns to be fed and sleepy, but Kylie wasn't tired at all, so she was awake for most of the shoot. Here are a few of my favorites...
